Meet the RIGA Team: Introducing Our Incredible National Business Development Manager

For our second “Meet the RIGA team”, let us introduce you to Leila Melki, our incredible National Business Development Manager. Her strategic vision and passion for success make her an invaluable asset to our team.

She is a connecter, a relationship builder, and a great listener.

Leila is still relatively new to the RIGA team, so her nickname isn’t official yet. But once it’s stuck up on her monitor like everyone else’s, she will officially be igiveashit. She loves the real and raw environment that Real Innovation Group offers, as it allows everyone to be their authentic selves. Leila also loves the team dynamic and the ease with which she can approach the boss, Kane, with any issues, whether they be work-related or personal. He’s a great listener with an amazing wealth of knowledge she can learn from when it comes to all things geeky.

As well as working with RIGA, Leila facilitates educational sessions in primary and high schools about the awareness and prevention of bullying. These sessions cover various topics, such as resilience, new beginnings (covering the transition from primary to high school), and preparing for the workforce.

Leila says, “I absolutely love teaching these sessions, especially in the roughest schools where the kids need the most love and attention. I find that by the end of the 1-hour session, I’ve helped create change for many students by letting them reflect on their actions of why they bully other kids and that they need love and support just like any other child.”

Apart from being involved in these amazing sessions, Leila enjoys spending time with her fur baby Bibi and her nieces, creating unforgettable memories and spending time with her best friend and sisterhood, who are deeply important to Leila. She is continually working on her personal development and outgrowing her old self to welcome a more empowered version of herself. And if she weren’t amazing enough already, she is currently undertaking studies in mental health as she is passionate about people’s well-being mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Leila’s favourite quote is, “How you do anything is how you do everything,” from Martha Beck, as it informs how she lives and sees others do things.

Later this year, Leila hopes to travel to Sri Lanka for her best friend’s birthday, having never been before. Leila’s best friend is Sri Lankan and has also never visited the country, so it will be a beautiful and spiritual experience.
